As the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) moves further into the second quarter of 2026, market activity remains robust with a daily turnover reaching Tk. 8,247.60 million. However, the regulatory authorities have issued fresh warnings, urging investors to rely on fundamental data rather than rumors or unauthorized information sources to ensure market stability.
Banking and Insurance Dividends in Focus
Several major financial institutions have scheduled board meetings to finalize their audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025. Investors are particularly eyeing these dates for potential dividend declarations:
- BRAC Bank PLC: April 26, 2026
- Rupali Insurance: April 26, 2026 (Dividend potential highlighted)
- Dhaka Bank PLC: April 28, 2026
- Premier Bank: April 28, 2026
- Jamuna Bank PLC: April 29, 2026

Q3 Earnings Season Gains Momentum
A flurry of companies will be reporting their un-audited third-quarter (Q3) results for the period ended March 31, 2026. Key companies to watch include Olympic Industries (April 28), Index Agro (April 27), IBN SINA (April 22), and National Polymer (April 25). Additionally, Prime Bank and Eastland Insurance are set to release their Q1 earnings for the current year.
Corporate Highlights and Credit Ratings
In a significant development for the consumer goods sector, Unilever Consumer Care Limited (UNILEVERCL) has been assigned an ‘AA+’ long-term credit rating by ECRL, reflecting a stable outlook. Meanwhile, Pioneer Insurance reported a strong start to the year with a 25% growth in Q1 EPS, reaching BDT 1.70. On the regulatory front, Titas Gas received BSEC approval to issue preference shares worth BDT 2.83 billion to the Ministry of Finance.
Red Flags: Factory Inspections
Investors are advised to exercise caution regarding Pacific Denims Limited (PDL) and Dominage Steel. Recent DSE inspections revealed that Pacific Denims’ factory was found closed, signaling a potential halt in operations. Similarly, while Dominage Steel’s Ashulia unit is operational, its Narsingdi unit was found shut during the visit.
Trading Suspensions and Bond Market Updates
Several trading suspensions are scheduled for April 21, 2026, due to record dates, including United Finance and Paramount. The bond market is also seeing significant activity, with multiple Bangladesh Government Treasury Bonds (BGTB) facing temporary trading suspensions for coupon payment entitlements. Furthermore, the Mutual Trust Bank Perpetual Bond trustee meeting is set for April 27 to determine its upcoming coupon payment record date.

In administrative news, both CVC Brokerage Limited and Shanta Securities Limited have officially withdrawn authorized representatives Mr. Md. Al Imran and Mr. Sharif Shamsher Rahman, respectively.
